Rory's Recommendation - At one time Foch was the most planted grape in Minnesota, but due to the release of new hardy grape cultivars from the University of Minnesota this less hardy hybrid is losing acreage. Foch is still a nice grape that can make a very good wine, and has stood the test of time. Due to its hardiness Foch isn't recommended for those in the northern two thirds of MN or those on an exposed site.
